Typhoon seen crossing western Honshu

予想通り、この週末は台風の襲撃に見舞われました。
昨夜は、まさしく直撃したなーという酷い暴風雨でしたよ。
まんま暴風域の中にいるというのがありありとわかる天候が一晩中続き、全く眠れずに今日はふらふらのグダグダでした。
午前４時頃には火災報知器まで誤作動（？）してしまい、うるさすぎて眠れやしない、という。
一夜明けて、ベランダから外を見てみたら、隣の○○センターの自転車小屋の屋根が木端微塵に吹っ飛んでました。

すごくない、これ？

ここのところ、台風来るぞーといいながら、フタを開けてみたらたいした被害はなかったことが多かったので、こんなのは本当に久々ですね。
朝ニュース見たら、午前６時にうちの実家のある市に上陸したって出てたんで、慌てて連絡しましたけど、一応実家は無事でした。
なんか、ご近所ではビニールハウスが潰れたらしいですけど。（お気の毒様）

今後、台風の進路にあたる地域にお住まいの方、くれぐれもお気を付け下さいね。
今回の台風、本当に侮っちゃいけませんよ。

Typhoon seen crossing western Honshupart of the Honshu main island from south to north on Sunday, causing heavy rains and strong winds in a wide area, the Japan Meteorological Agency said Saturday.

The powerful typhoon is forecast to travel across the Chugoku region on the Honshu island to the Sea of Japan after making landfall on the southern island of Shikoku by the small hours of Sunday, according to the agency.

The 11th typhoon this year caused heavy rains and winds from the Kyushu southwestern island to the Kii Peninsula on western Honshu on Saturday, leading many municipalities to issue evacuation orders or advisories.

Evacuation orders were issued in Yamaguchi Prefecture in the Chugoku region and Tokushima and Kochi Prefectures on Shikoku island, affecting about 2,700 residents of more than 1,300 households. Many other municipalities from the Kyushu to Kinki regions took less urgent steps of announcing evacuation advisories. More than 140,000 were affected.

The typhoon also disrupted public transportation just at a time when many families were on their ways for vacation from Tokyo and other city areas ahead of the “bon” holiday period.

Airlines decided to cancel more than 400 flights, mainly those departing or arriving at the Shikoku and Kyushu regions.
